Lets Sleep Together

All right ladies and gents it's that time, that time for us to go a little deeper into the world of being a newly-wed. Yes, you read correctly we are going to talk about the best times and the worst times of "sleeping together".

Being a newley-wed is hard. Having to learn to live with someone is a whole new learning curve and if you get married straight out of living at home, learning to live with your new husband or wife can be enlightening, but learning to sleep next to your spouse is an eye opener.  Yes, I said sleep next to, for those of you who thought otherwise go read Sheet Music by Kevin Leman.

As I was saying learning to sleep next to your spouse can be interesting. Many things can occur that you were totally not expecting. For one they could be sleep talkers, and even though they may create some very interesting night conversations it can get annoying. I highly recommend keeping a note book next to your night stand and taking notes as they say funny one liners or even actually try to have a conversation with you.

Secondly, spacial awareness. I have no idea as to why but as females we seem to have the need to take up more then half the bed. For some reason to us its more comfortable to spread out then to cuddle up and doing anything but the fetal position is like heaven. So gents, the only recommendation that can be made here is to learn how to move your wife without disturbing her, moving closer to her will create body heat, helping her to subconsciously move towards her side of the bed due to being too hot to sleep to close to you.

Thirdly, and my personal favourite, gas, yup you learn to deal with the craziest amount of flatulence ever. Not pointing any figures to who lets off more but I am quit sure it's our husbands. Sleeping next to someone means you get to experience each others gas. The most awkward situations when it comes to flatulence is the "trapped wind theory". One spouse will let off a huge fart and it will be trapped in an amongst the covers, you know your spouse is not moving because if they do you will both have to deal with it but if they don't move they will be uncomfortable for the rest of the night. Falling asleep, you wake up in the morning to a gassy room and the biggest smile on your spouse. The only recommendation that can be made here is to trap your spouse under the covers, let is loose, laugh about it and then both sleep comfortably after dealing with in your won special way the blame for who actually let off the fart.

Even though sleeping next to your loved one can be the biggest learning curve of your life and a new argument for couples, its also a blessing. Being able to wake up next to the special someone that you love, even not looking your best. Knowing that you have someone to cuddle you and be with and hug you is the best feeling in the world. It really does trump those crazy and weird situation you make experience sleeping next to you loved one. So, now that you have read about sleeping together and all its glory the next time you have an awkward situation or a loving moment in bed, remember that's what love is all about.
