Happy wife, happy lifeThis simple saying has been around since the first marriage, so no wonder why it’s one of the most accurate marriage sayings. Many singles may laugh at you for admitting that your happiness is determined by your partner’s happiness, however, as you will soon learn it may in fact be something similar to that.
Let me explain. While this saying is a simplified guideline with a humorous spin which aims to emasculate the male, it still has a hidden truth. It is something which I have recently discovered myself through many painful and frustrating discussions with my wife. You can even find whole books written on this subject you have to pay for, but I’m going to tell you because you should not have to pay for this knowledge which will soon be a part of your life.
Look out for your wife’s interests, well-being and happiness before your own.
Of course this may sound simple and easy but in day to day life this becomes hard for you and increasingly more important. The thing you may not know it that wives are incredibly receptive to this behaviour which in turns makes them very happy. As a husband you should take joy in making your wife happy. Doing this may be hard work, but the end result is that you yourself are happy.
There is however another very positive side effect: your wife will also do her best to return the favour! That’s right, you heard me correctly ;-). She will do the same for you! Now that should definitely make you happy!
Doesn't that just give a whole new meaning to the saying “Happy wife, happy life”.
TL;DR - The saying “Happy wife, happy life” means look out for your wife before yourself and that should make you happy. On top of that however, she will do the same for you. ;-)
